CASCADE SUBARU AND WENATCHEE VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETY TO HOST ‘HEALTHY PET AWARENESS’ AS PART OF ASPCA & SUBARU GRANT PROGRAM

WENATCHEE, WA- Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) and Cascade Subaru (Subaru) are teaming up to help pets in the Wenatchee Valley by hosting ‘Healthy Pets Awareness’ event on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Cascade Autocenter, on Easy Street.

Keeping pets healthy is a community concern and the teams at Subaru and WVHS are excited to host an event educating the Wenatchee Valley about the healthy pet resources that are available. “Pet health is an important component in keeping pets and the people together and we’re thrilled that Subaru recognizes that and wants to help us promote programs that support it,” explains Leticia Perez, WVHS Programs Coordinator.

Subaru has a longstanding relationship with WVHS, partnering in the past on adoption and supply drive events, but this will be the first healthy pet awareness event. The event will be followed by an October 5th low cost spay/neuter, which is made possible by a generous grant from the ASPCA and Subaru.

“Our partnership with the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society is long standing and is something that every employee stands behind wholeheartedly,” shares Will Summers, Marketing Director of Cascade Subaru. “’Subaru Loves Pets’ enables us to give back in ways we normally couldn’t to our local shelter through donations of supplies, time, and financial assistance.  We are proud to be able to help these local heroes in their work, and are truly grateful to have the support of Subaru behind us. It allows us to help the community, and the people in it, in ways that wouldn’t normally be possible.”

WVHS staff and volunteers will be on site at Subaru from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. providing information about humane society resources and programs to assist with pet health, collecting food and supply donations, and registering income-qualified pet owners, who have animals in need of spay/neuter services, for the October 5th spay and neuter clinic.

Members of the community are encouraged to stop by Cascade Subaru any day leading up to the event, to drop off donations for the animals at WVHS.
