Youth 7-15 years old must volunteer with a parent or guardian. 16-17 years old can volunteer with parent or guardian permission.

Volunteer opportunities that are well-suited for youth include cat socialization and enrichment, dog training (12 yrs or older with a parent/guardian), canine enrichment and helping at events.

Volunteer opportunities in the feline program include helping to socialize cats and kittens at the campus, and preparing enrichment activities, either at home or on campus.

Youth 12 - 16 years old must have a parent or guardian present. Youth 16 - 17 years old need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to volunteer.

Playgroup volunteers assist staff with bringing dogs to and from their kennels to playgroup.

Enrichment activities provide mental stimulation and reduce boredom and occur 6 times a day, 7 days a week. Volunteers assemble enrichment items following instructions in the Enrichment Guide and deliver them to the dogs.
